Ben picked up his first camera at the age of 10 and has since enjoyed a love for all genres of photography. A school darkroom allowed him to learn essential processing and printing skills. These skills were developed further during his A Level photography studies, as was his education in the history of photography and the importance and understanding of composition and lighting. Ben went on to study in London before gaining an HND, specialising in portraiture, at the Kent Institute of Art and Design.

Following college, Ben established a firm client base shooting for magazines, record labels and advertising companies whilst continuing to photograph portraits on a private basis.

As well as undertaking exhibitions, Ben's first book was published in 2006. 'Historic Kent - a photographic guide' has proven to be a huge success with tourists and residents of the county, adorning many coffee tables, and saw the end of a two year project.

Ben continues to take on private and commissioned work and this website has been created to show a part of his portfolio.
